The new Audi RS 7 Sportback (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 11.6 – 11.4 (20.3 – 20.6 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 265 – 261 (426.5 – 420.0 g/mi)) marks the model’s second generation and is more unique than ever before. At the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, Audi Sport GmbH will be presenting the RS 7 Sportback as a wide-bodied five-seater for the first time, also showcasing the improved performance and efficiency delivered by a mild hybrid system. The RS 7 Sportback will be arriving at dealerships in Germany and other European countries in the end of 2019.

 

Audi is systematically pursuing its electrification strategy and is now offering its large four-door coupe as a powerful and efficient PHEV. Intelligent drive management with a predictive operating strategy enables high electric range, low fuel consumption and dynamic performance. The new Audi A7 aSportback 55 TFSI e quattro combines all of that with a system output of 270 kW (367 PS) (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km*: 2.1 – 1.9 (112.0 – 123.8 US mpg); combined electrical consumption in kWh/100 km*: 18.1 – 17.5; combined CO2 emissions in g/km*: 48 – 44 (77.2 – 70.8 g/mi)). A comprehensive list of standard equipment with S line exterior package and sport suspension round out the sporty look.

 

Ten European countries in 24 hours – the Audi e-tron (combined electrical consumption in kWh/100 km*: 26.4 - 22.9 (WLTP); 24.6 - 23.7 (NEDC), combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 0 (0 g/mi)) has impressively demonstrated its long-distance qualities. On August 20, nine journalists set out on the tour stretching over 1,600 km (994.2 mi) from Lake Bled in Slovenia to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The electric SUV with its long range and short charging stops proved to be a compelling proposition. Combined with its powerful drive and comfortable interior, it turns electric touring into a premium experience.

 

Audi has been building cars at the Ingolstadt site for 70 years. The heart of the Group beats in this Bavarian city on the Danube: Ingolstadt is where AUDI AG has its headquarters and operates its largest production site worldwide. To mark the 70th anniversary of the company in Ingolstadt, Audi is presenting insights into the history of the four rings. Three special exhibitions entitled “Audi in Ingolstadt: Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow” were opened simultaneously today in the Audi Forum by Albert Mayer, plant manager at the Ingolstadt site, and Thomas Frank, Managing Director of Auto Union GmbH. The highlight is the extraordinary temporary exhibition “W49” in the Audi museum mobile, which lasts until the end of February 2020. Two additional exhibitions are open to Audi employees and all interested members of the public until September 21, 2019.
